Musical Theatre song and dance workshop

Led by two theatre professionals Margaret Cheung and Gigi Yiu

This workshop designed to encourage participants to have the confidence to try new things and believe in their own abilities to express their talents. They will get to work on a musical piece incorporating both song and movement, and it's a perfect way to experience the magic of musical theatre.

The entire fun-filled workshop will last about two and a half-hour and a 30mins "showtime" session starting at 2130.

Age group: above 18
* please come in comfortable clothing

Margaret Cheung -
is a seasoned performer of Hong Kong's musical theatre scene. She trained at the drama school of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Upon graduation, she has been a highly sought after talent by most producers of professional musical theatre, such as Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Actor's Family, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Windmill Grass Theatre, and Theatrespace. She has an interest in the Estill Voice Training model as well as voice coaching for actors. She has recently served as singing coach for Hong Kong Dance Company and Autistic Genius' joint production of Electric Girl.

Gig Yiu -
is a founder of Movin' Grid. She studied a Masters degree at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA) on a full scholarship provided by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund in 2014/15. She demonstrated the ability to work internationally with leaders, directors and choreographer across commercial units, such as BBC, Sky Arts in UK and the most prestigious traditional theatre company in Japan. Throughout the years, she also choreographed works for the screen and stage pieces, musicals, drama productions and dance coaching for commercial concerts. Gigi earned the nomination of the Leading Best Actress for the 24th Hong Kong Drama Award & The 6th Hong Kong Theatre Libre. More recently, she worked as a guest lecturer for the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and movement tutor at the HK Open University.
